Well my take is that it Is all to do with a young couple whose romance is failing, and the female looks for excuses as to why that is happening... For example that it is "life's fault" that things aren't going well, and that she should just give it another go.
But deep down she knows things aren't working, and she just wishes that he knew how much she loved him and that he felt the same way about her, but in the end she knows that one-sided love is never enough because it's only "almost love"
