I used to hangout with his big cousin Mars who is also a rapper, and has helped produce Matt's songs and videos.
In my opinion, Mars doesn't get enough credit for Matty's success, although when I told him that he got mad! There's a lot of love between the two of them.
As for girlfriends, the thing with Jordan Jones was getting kind of serious, but Matty's mom is quite protective and wanted him to stay in Atlanta and refused to let him go on tour/travelling, because she thought he was a bit too young for it.
I also don't think she was too happy about him dating Jordan.
SO in the end they decided to break up because they weren't seeing enough of each other in real life and only got to hangout online.
Also, they both have pretty busy schedules, so I can kinda understand why they decided to put the whole relationship thing on hold.
That doesn't mean Matty doesn't take relationships seriously.
