Sometimes, I regret buying goods on websites as they are not as good as they say. In this situation, what would you do?

You must ensure the brand of that particular goods. The branded company does not cheat.

I've always found that if you buy things from good reliable websites like Amazon, you'll get just what you paid for. A lot of the flaky sites just sell junk and they know it. Next time do some research on the site you're thinking of buying something from. There a lot of really good sites that sell quality merchandise and have good return policies.

I seldom buy something online, as I am afraid of cheating or they are not good quality and other reasons etc...I prefer going to shop by myself, as I can see and touch what I want to buy. We can know the quality by touching and seeing.

I use http://www.scamadviser.com/ when looking at online shops. They give very detailed information about the website and you can use their research to decide if you want to buy from that store. Also, try searching for 'storename reviews' and see what you find. Of course, big companies get complaints, too, so don't be put off if you see a few negative comments, but make sure that there are some positive comments, too!

For example, I wanted to buy from this website, and I found a Yahoo! Answers page where someone had asked for reviews of this website. All of the answers said the site was good, but I noticed that they were all very short and had very broken English, so  hovered my mouse over the profile pictures which makes a little box pop up detailing that person's account. All of the accounts had been made within a few days of each other and they had only answered this one question and nothing else.

The website also had a really good sale on and there was a countdown to show how long there was left of the sale. There was about 25hrs left. In the end I decided not to buy from them, but I went back to the site several days later. The countdown was back up to 48hrs...

It's things like that that you need to look out for.

I know some sites are scams for sure, so I'll list them here just in case you come across them:

tbdress.com

dressvenus.com

tidebuy.com

shoespie.com

There are more than this but I can't find them right now. If you look at these, some of them have an identical layout, just in a different colour. If you see a website like that (particularly if it has a countdown on it) walk away.

If you have any doubts about a website, just look somewhere else.

Better to complain about the goods you purchased
