That's standard. Albums come in two versions, one is explicit lyrics and the other is radio edit. They have been doing that since the 80's that I'm aware of.
Has anyone noticed the rap songs that contain swear words, have been removed and replaced with other words?
Like in Anaconda by Nicki Minaj. Some of the words are swear words and then the radio or someone who edited them took out the swear words and put different words in them.
Yeah they clean garbage before the public hears it. Talent doesnt to swear to attract listeners.
Yes this happens with all genres of music. It is generally an explicit or "dirty" version (the original) and it will also have a "clean version" that has been edited for the radio or for an audience that wants a version that doesn't contain an abundance of foul language. Although, some songs still get by on the radio with swearing depending on what is used in the song.
