I only like carousels and ferris wheels. I'm afraid of everything else. The only thing I really like at the fair is looking at farm animals. I went to one in Topsfield, Massachusetts and saw the most enormous rabbit. It was a Flemish Giant! So majestic!
I'm not a big fan of rides but I love the dodgems.
The Tilt A Whirl, the ride that spins around. That ride is soooo fun. Yay!
I don't do the rides anymore. Any of the ones that move fast make me sick and my husband is afraid of heights so the ferris wheel is out. We go to for the FOOD! All that gloriously greasy food! We don't often eat greasy food so it is our one excuse to do so. Plus I have to go by and see what ribbon one of my friend's mom has won. She has won at least one ribbon for cooking every year for over 20 years.
In my younger days we would go out for happy hour first and then do the fun house. It is much more fun when you are a bit tipsy!
Most fairs don't have roller coasters, so I guess my favorite would be the Octopus :)
The only ones I really like are roller coasters ! Preferably older ones. They used to have one called : The Mad Mouse that was a blast. I love the old coaster at Santa Cruz beach and boardwalk!
There's RIDES at fairs?!?
Who knew?
After the animal exhibitions, I never make it past the scams ... I mean "game booths". I never "play", but when I get to that area I turn around and leave. Which is probably why my visits to the fair last about 15 minutes. LOL
The dodgem cars. Then the Ferris wheel. Once I was chewing gum on the roller coaster. Somehow it came out of my mouth and got stuck in my hair. Terrible!
