Do you have someone "special" that you like to buy a great Christmas present for?

My nieces.

I like to break expectations of what to buy girls.
The rest of their relatives get them "girl" gifts ... I get them LEGOs.

Okay.  "Girl" themed LEGOs, like the Disney princess sets ... And the Elf sets.  But still.  LEGOs

Everyone I buy Christmas gifts for is special. Wife, children, grandchildren... They are all special in my eyes!!!

I give gifts and gift people all year.

I just like getting the right gift for each person. I try listen throughout the year for when they say they need or want or something, then I pick it up. For example, this year when my extended family went on vacation, my sister-in-law borrowed my husband's headphones on the plane. She said she should get a set of her own.  I ordered them a couple of weeks later, and are just waiting to be wrapped. 

I'm awful at buying presents, but this year I want to get something really great for my best friend. We've been best friends since we were 4 and she recently moved away to a boarding school so I don't get to see her as often as I used to. That's why I want to try and get her something extra-special this year.
