Rooster, I found several review sites for this movie - no, I haven't seen it yet - and most of the reviews went something like this:
"Saw the film tonight, and I was disappointed. I'm a big fan of Bird's work on The Incredibles and Mission Impossible, and I loved that the promotional materials took care to be somewhat oblique about the actual story. And now here I am, two hours removed from seeing the film, still wondering what the story was. What do we actually know about Tomorrowland other than that "it's the place where the geniuses went"? What do we really see of it, other than a few people wearing jet packs? Bird and his team created such a visually interesting world, and it felt like we barely got to spend any time there. Too many cryptic conversations about the stakes and not nearly enough exuberance for a film that styles itself as a celebration of optimism and creativity. The raw materials for a more satisfying film are all on display, it just didn't come together as well as I hoped it would."
I'm now intrigued enough to want to see the movie. Did you like it? Did the ending baffle you, as it did others?
