I would highly recommend Sony Vegas for video editing. Many high end YouTubers such as FRANKIEonPCin1080p use Sony Vegas. I have Sony Vegas myself and it works beautifully! I would also recommend Dxtory for screen recording if you are basing your channel off of recording your PC screen. I've used Dxtory as well and it works great too. Check out Frankie's channel to view the quality of both programs. Good luck!

The least expensive software is Vegas Movie Studio 13 at $49.95. It includes easy to import video clips
-Many great transitions and transition effects that can be wildly customized.
-editing the video by changing contrast, brightness, fixing shaky camera, color balancing, red eye in photos.
-Audio editing
It's a more basic program but should work well. What is the theme of your channel? What will your channel be about? That will better determine which product would be best for you.

By the way, if you decide to purchase a Sony Vegas product, I highly recommend downloading the free trial they offer. You want to make sure your PC is powerful enough to run the software.
