For me, no doubt whatever it's THE HEIRESS.
For many actors/actresses, there may often be one film so wonderful that I begin to take note of the marvelous acting...and that movie, I lived it and suffered with her.
And I just Googled to learn that yes she is indeed celebrating her 100th birthday.
Delightful to wish her well.
100? That's terrifying.
I just went through a list of her movies on IMDB (here it is) and, although I've seen many of them, I can't recall one that really stands out. (No, I didn't see Gone with the Wind, and don't want to.)
That confession clearly says more about my lack of taste and maturity than it does about her acting ability. I wish her well on her centenary.
I thought she was wonderful in all of her roles .... But my favorite will always be Melanie Hamilton Wilkes.
