I usually sleep through the night with no problem, but on the rare occasion I can't I'll read a book.

I may bake something in wee hours...my beautiful new pans...also a wonderful time for meditation, reading...
I often sleep in the day when I can, just to have access to those quiet hours of night...however here is a tip if you need to sleep, and that is just to eat something! Food as a soporific; a superb physician of Traditional Chinese Medicine told me that once.
That never happens to me but if it did, I'd go on Blurtit until my eyes tire out.
I wake my hubby up. We suffer together, or find things to do.
Stay on blurtit and drink my shine till u pass out
I keep a book on the bedhead and read. Of course, that sometimes results in me reading all night but at least it passes the time pleasantly.
I used to fire up the computer and come on line but rarely do that now. It wakes me even more.
I would read a boring book that would puts me off
I do one or all if I can't sleep, together or in a combo.
Low low classical music.
Prayer. Psalms
Blurtit while I TV watch, low sound.
Read make it a happy book.
Crochet or Knit.
You should drink a warm cup of milk to sleep more easily. If you still can not sleep, read a book or listen to classic music. They will help you relax.
Btw, you should go to sleep as early as you can, for your health.
I have a mug of hot milky chocolate before I go to bed. I put a wheat bag in the microwave and put it round my neck and I watch TV which isn't to taxing on the brain until I'm tired. If I wake in the night I get up and make some toast and decaf tea and then go back to bed.
There is a pressure point between your
big toe and the next one over. If you can place,
the heel of your other foot in this space. Just rest it
there comfortably. Next, stop the dialog of voices in
your head. Stop the chatter. You see a black wall.
Just surround yourself with the darkness,
and relax your body and your mind. With some
practice you should be able to fall asleep in no time.

Majority of people is facing sleeping issues even these days even after doing a lot of activities at daytime. I am also among those concerned people but reading some wonderful sleep tips here on this page will help me to end this anxiety very soon. Now, I have started feeling that I can enjoy very peaceful sleep every night.
