I was about 30 feet up on a plank while converting a barn to a house and dropped a Paslode nail gun. It shattered into a bazillion pieces. At the time, it cost a little over $400.
When i think of it now, there arent actually many things that ive broken but in my childhood , i did break something many times which could be considered expensive, and is extremely loved and also not easily available where i used to live, it was , jars of Nutella, i broken them so many times and after that last time , mt parents never bought one.....heart breaking moments they were......nutella on the floor, what a shame, what a shame,.....!
Taxi Cab wrapped around a tree on the way back to base from dropping off a fare. For some reason they fired me soon after.
There are too many for me to count. I've killed refrigerators, washers, dryers, a computer, a million vacuum's, a couple toilets, an oven, etc.
I'm not sure I ever trashed anything.
My father, in his diary entries from the Italian campaign in World War two, describes how he was blamed for the damage to a searchlight mirror. The cost of the mirror was about £10,000. In today's money, around £480,000.
Fortunately, it was established that he was not involved.
