Although this is an unusual tune to play on the clarinet, the notes are pretty simple to translate from guitar.

After watching a few videos of people playing the Ozzy Osbourne song, I think I've got the notes pretty much down to a tee.

Here's how it goes:

The notes to Crazy Train for clarinet
(Keep in mind that the notes are written in the key of b flat - which means that all b's and e's should be played as flats).

  • gg bb ff gg ee ff (repeat this riff twice).
Then the melody goes like this:

  • ggdg egdg cbab cbaf (repeat this part three times)
If you want a video to practice along to, then this YouTube video (linked below) is a really good guide. It also has the notes scrolling along the bottom of the video.

Rock on!

I play in the band and that is not the notes when playing with the entire band. These are the notes you want. I have them organized from low to high as you will see. Enjoy.

When playing low:

C#C# ... F#F# . DD . C#C# ... AA . BB . C#C# ... F#F# . DD . C#C# ... AA . BB . C#C# ... F#F# . DD .. C#C# .. AA . BB .
When playing in low chorus - A A E A F A E A D C B D C B G * 3 times*

When playing in high- G#G# ... BB . AA . G#G# ... EE . F#F# . G#G# ... BB . AA . G#G# ... EE . FF. G#G#... BB... AA. G#G#.. EE. F#F#.

When playing in high chorus - E E B E C E A G F A G F D *3 times*

P.S. Each period is suppose to resemble a rest.

Do enjoy!

The first part is gg BbBb ff gg EbEb ffx2 (open g octave)

2nd part G G D G Eb G D G C Bb A Bb C Bb A Fx3

All the D's Eb's, and C's are one octave higher than open G.

This can be played any octave though. Sounds best in the octave I put.
