The concept of Dancing with the Stars is actually inspired from a BBC show aired in United Kingdom. the name of the show in Britain is known as Strictly Come Dancing. Actually this show was first adapted in Australia but soon several other countries like Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Denmark, India, Russia, Spain and several other countries adopted this show and the format.

The concept of this show is that several celebrities would be paired of with professional dancers and each pair would compete with one another week after week until one pair emerges as the winner. Every week one pair is eliminated as a combination of the marks given by the judges and the votes of the audience. The pair with the lowest combination is eliminated.
