Tupac has sold more records worldwide than Biggie Smalls. Tupac has sold 75 million records worldwide whereas Biggie Smalls has sold 58 million.
Both of the American rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G were murdered in the 90s in shootings while they were in their cars.
Tupac was born in 1971 and died at the age of 25 from internal bleeding after he was shot in Las Vegas on 13 September 1996. His first record was sold in 1991 and he was a very influential rapper.
Biggie Smalls who was otherwise know as the Notorious B.I.G was also shot dead in Los Angeles on 9 March 1997 aged 24. He was born Christopher Wallace in 1972 in Brooklyn, New York City. He had his own record label and also managed Junior M.A.F.I.A who were made up of other well know rappers, including Lil Kim.
Both rappers found even bigger record selling success after they died and their record companies released unheard material and albums after their deaths.
There are many things that link the two deaths and there are a lot of theories that the deaths were linked and that other gangs were responsible for the deaths of the rappers. This has never been confirmed.

- The two rappers were from different gangs and had swapped words about their dislike for each other.

- The deaths of the rappers were celebrated by the rival gang members when they happened.
