Annie Oakley's real name was Phoebe Ann Mosey. Born on 13 August, 1860 in Ohio, Annie Oakley was a sharpshooter and exhibition shooter. Oakley's talent led to a starring role in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. The show gave her recognition as America's first female superstar. Annie began hunting to support her siblings and mother at the age of nine. Her skillfulness helped pay off the mortgage on their house. She married Frank Butler, who later took on the role of her assistant as well as her business manager. At the request of Sitting Bull, Annie had knocked the ashes off the cigarette held by Kaiser Wilhelm II and also performed before Queen Victoria. She dies on 3 November 1926 of pernicious anemia.

Annie Oakley was a bright young girl she started shooting at the age of nine years old and was abuse by her foster parents. She had welt marks on her back and she didn't eat to feed the other 7 kids. Soon after that she ran away...and joined Frank E. Butler in a shooting game. She won the game and his heart!
