Should Students Be Aloud To Listen To Music In Class?

They shouldn't be able to while the teacher is trying to teach them
something. However children listening to music while they are working or studying
shouldn't be harmful, as long as the children don't halt their work. I
think the reasons why schools don't allow music are: That it would
increase theft (some kids might try and steal music players that are
better than theirs), some people may bring in inappropriate music (lot's
of swear words that aren't suitable for younger kids), and that some
children might not listen to the teacher when they're supposed to as
they're busy with their music.

I think students should be allowed to listen to music in class because it helps their productive side.

I think if your in studyhall- it should be ok. For me, music pumps me up and gets me energized. As far as actual classtime & learning...no.

Sure, in music class. Possibly a study hall would be acceptable as long as the music was not interrupting other kids studying.

Yes because studies show that kids that listen to there ipods after the teachers lectures and while working have better grades
