As of June 2012, there are eight movies in the American Pie series, released in the following order:
- American Pie (1999) follows a group of friends (Jim Levenstein, Kevin Myers, Paul Finch, Chris Ostreicher and Steve Stifler) in their last year of high school. All are desperate to lose their virginity before they graduate.
- American Pie 2 (2001) The friends organise a party at a summer beach house.
- American Wedding (2003) Jim and Michelle get married.
- American Pie Presents: Band Camp (2005, straight-to-DVD) follows Steve's younger brother Matt Stifler, who is forced to attend the school's summer band camp.
- American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile (2006, straight-to-DVD) follow Erik Stifler as he attempts to lose his virginity before graduating high school.
- American Pie Presents: Beta House (2007, straight-to-DVD) A year after The Naked Mile, Erik has graduated high school and has to complete a series of challenges in order to join a fraternity.
- American Pie Presents: The Book of Love (2009, straight-to-DVD) Ten years after American Pie, the Book of Love (the 'Bible' from the first film) is destroyed in a fire.
- American Reunion (2012) The friends from the original trilogy reunite for their thirteenth high school reunion.
