Stephanie Meyer (born in 1973 in Connecticut), has written many popular novels, including Twilight, which has recently been adapted to film and The Host, which was released in May 2008 in the US and April 2008 internationally.

The Host has received much praise and reached #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list. Amazon.com also named the book one of the Best Books of May.

Stephanie Meyers is currently working on a sequel to The Host. There are also plans for another book in the series.

In one of her interviews she has mentioned that she will take rest and then will think about the new sequel of The Host. The interview is available on her own site and click on the link:

Well she did say that the book has the potential to start a sequel. Another good sign is that she also said she never likes to leave stories and the characters to die out.And even better, she already has potential names for the next 2 books: The soul, and the seeker. If you put all of this together then you can see that she probably just might make a sequel.

The sequel is going to be called the soul, and then the sequel to the soul is going to be the seeker.
