Rather the modern Illuminati seem to be a myth perpetuated by the Internet and conspiracy theorists.

Instead, conspiracy theorists jumped on the occult imagery in the song and stated that it made references to secret organizations. Another singer, Lady GaGa, is thought to be in the Illuminati due to her lyrics and the way that she places her fingers around her eye in a circle, supposedly a reference to the All Seeing Eye that has been linked with the Illuminati myth. Other famous rappers and singers to have been linked with the organization include Beyonce, Rihanna and Britney Spears.
