I honestly think we have been hoodwinked by writers.I don't believe freddie was murdered by john foster as I don't think john foster even exists outside of effy's head.I think after cook left effy at freddies everything we saw happen was not real. Think about it did anyone else even see or interact with this john foster apart from effy(yes I know freddie appears to meet him in hospital just before he gets "killed")but as I said after cook dropped effy off at freddies I think everything we saw was taking place in effy's head as she has mental disorder.I personally think freddie took effy to hospital then did a runner as he could not cope with situation .As for john foster I think he is one of the demons in her head who she can hear.
I think Freddie is dead, and cook will find out he went to see Foster and will go there and see Freddie dead and kill Foster in rage. So sad they killed Freddie. Skins was meant to be about portraying the lifes of teenagers these days, but the storylines are gettin harder to believe now.
Hello has anyone seen the ACTUAL EPISODE where John Foster took a flipping baseball bat while Freddie was in his house and all you see is blood spatter?!?!?!???!?!?! They left it totally opened ended even in the finale!!!!! I need to know if Freddie died!!!
Hello this is freddie I'm not dead, when Dr Foster swung the bat he hit a tomato ketchup packet and it splattered on the window, me and doctor foster shared a bowl of chips and then I went home but now I'm on holiday in Zante and I forgot to tell cook and my sister I was going, that is why they are upset in the preview for the next episode.
Freddie is definately alive, and Cook is going to murder Foster in the most brutal fashion just before Foster is about to finish off Freddie. Obviously Cook has the chance to run away after this, and Freddie encourages him, surely - but he won't - he will finally face the consequences of his actions (and all that), and go back to jail. I can see the scene where Cook is handcuffed, and all his friends in tears, looking at him being taken away into the policecar, as they realize what a good person Cook is - for killing Foster, who dies in pain of unimaginable proportions -- thereby saving Freddie's life.
Obviously everyone will admire him after this, since he did what he did to save his best friend.
Cook did not over dose in a ditch. And we know nothing of a rape with effy and dr foster? Theres a high chance that cook kills foster at the end of season 4. So there's no way he can go back to harm effy. Freddie is most likely dead. Especially if there was an mtv interview that supposedly confirmed this. In the up coming skins movie it will most likely show the aftermath of the end of season 4 as it practically left us blind sited as to what occured in john fosters basement with himself and cook. Everything will be summed up eventually. Keep your socks on people!
I seriously hope he isn't dead,,I can't stop thinking about it I seriously love freddie he is the niciest person in skins apart from cook, but I think its all in effys head because she is mental and it didnt make sence when she went mental so I don't think he is dead but if he is I'm never watching skins again :( xx
In the add freddy's sister asks cook to find him so I think (and hope ) cook finds foster and kills him, it also seems like something cook would do. That was sick though when freddy was getting hit, made me feel really sad no w! :(
I recon Freddie's dead, cause at the end of the preview you see Cooke falling to the floor crying so.. But I'd love it if he was still alive. Skins was all about parties and fun not suicide and murder, jeesh, the writers have lost the plot.
Lets just wait till thursday. Personally I hope he is NOT dead but if he is then thats that its just a show you will probably see him on something else or you can just stare at his pick or even watch skins over and over and over again. Freddie is dead. And he was far from bland, he was the best character on the show because he was the only semi-normal one. It breaks my heart that Freddie is dead, and I really hope that whoever is predicting that Cook kills Foster is right. And I think that whoever thinks this was all inside Effy's head is totally out to lunch.
That episode scared the hell out of me and I cried soo much it was way too brutal and unnecessary and cruel and disturbing. Why would you kill someone off like freddie in such a uncalled for fashion???? It has left scars in my brain! I love skins its a great show but why turn it into a sadistic creepy storyline that no one enjoys?>??? :( VERY SAD!!! :(
Well Srry guyz but I think freddie is dead agreed that was the worst way to end the season but I'm wondering if this might be in effys head because it might be possibal thats she is imagining all the bad stuff that happend to her and worst to come because in the episode where freddie dies before he does she said she hears screaming and some one's (HURT) not dead so freddie might be alive but if he isn't I think cook will defenetly kill foster will rage its the most horribal way beacause he is not afraid in an episode effy tells cook that what she always loved about him was that he was BRAVE so the writers really hooked us on with this one then again I am a total skins addict
That scene was horrible...I keep seeing the blood on the window. Over and over...he can't die :( he can't...they could have at least killed him without such...violence.
It looks like he's officially dead. Wasnt expecting that at all. I knew they were using a new cast in the next serious, but christ! That was a bit extreme. Shame :(
Doctor foster went to gloucester in a shower of rain, he stepped in a puddle right up to his middle and was left so traumatized from the experience the only way he could cope was to beat conventionally attractive teenage boys to death with a baseball bat.
If you listen carefully, while the Cook v Foster confrontation is going on, you can hear Freddie shouting cook's name!! Maybe its just me but I hope its true!!

Mental health charity MIND were consulted on the production of episode 5 which dealt specifically with Effy's psychosis. Freddie's murder in episode 7 was an off shoot of this storyline. The character John Foster is purely fictional, a TV 'baddie' and a pivotal part of a heightened fictional scenario, climaxing in the shocking end of this episode which was broadcast just before 11pm.

Freddie is dead when cook walks in fosters house and sees the bloodey closhs in the next season cook is alive and dr forst is dead and effy is gone some were the same cast next season :)
I think that freddy is dead.. But cooks going to find him some how and then Foster and COOK will fight and Cook will kill foster and be a hero ... Cook Is my idol :L
That was the worst way possible to end the series, it made no sense at all. I actually think that was the worst thing on tv I've ever seen. =( not looking forward to the next series at all
