ABBA is a famous Swedish pop music group of the 1970's. This was the most successful pop music group to hail from Stockholm, Sweden in Scandinavia. ABBA were one of the highest-selling bands in the history of popular music throughout the 1970's and the early part of the 1980's. The group wrote all their music (except one song) themselves, and at their peak, they topped the charts with record-breaking sales amounting to an estimated 300 million copies worldwide. ABBA is the acronym of the initial letter of the first names of its four members, Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid (also known as Frida) Lyngstad. During its decade-long tenure as one of the top bands, ABBA released eight studio albums, one live album (entitled ABBA Live), eight compilation album comprising the greatest hits of ABBA and two box sets (entitled Thank You for the Music and The Complete Studio Recordings).
