I heard this song not too long ago, it was a female singer and part of the chorus is: "you wish upon the stars like diamonds in the shy" I think. It's maybe under pop, any clue what it is?

The only song I could really find, even after researching it, is the song "Diamonds" by Rihanna. This does fall under the pop music category, and just came out this year. Hopefully this is what you're looking for.
