The fact it is "unexplained" and that no-one has mentioned suicide or a possible homicide sounds to me like the police know what they are dealing with but they are trying to be sensitive to the high profile that the Geldof family enjoys, and they also want to be certain before the announce anything.
If it was truly a mysterious death, with no known cause, then her family would be in shock and declaring so in the media.
