Many years ago, in between marriages, I dated a young lady that was in a lot of TV commercials and eventually landed rolls in prime time dramas.

I was 35, she was 20. It was fun but the age difference was kind of deterring to any long term thing. She was only 8 years older than my son at the time.

Eh... don't see age difference as such a big deal...creeps some people out, but ya know

Well, I was already established in life with a house, two kids and a good job. She was just starting her career and was carefree.

Do you know the song "Wishing Well" by Terrance Trent D'arby that came out in 1987? When in junior high/high school, he was just called Terry Darby.

Marlee Maitlin. She showed up one day because we had children on the same soccer team. Didn't know it was her, but I was reading an InStyle magazine. She said, I think I'm in there dressed up as Lucille Ball for Halloween. She was. I found her to just be a regular Soccer mom. Very unpretentious. She's married to a firefighter.

When I was a Federal Officer in the SWUS I have  met every US POTUS since Nixon except Obama  and I don't want to. Many actors and actresses, Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses, Duchesses, Dukes and just about everyone in between and many many sports figures when I played and when I was 5 and 6.

It's funny but Davy Jones was always my favorite. After meeting them, not so much. Then Mickey became my favorite.

There have been a few who were well-known in Oz, and a few who should have been well-known, but the most interesting by far was a cabinet minister to the Shah of Iran back in the days before Khomeini and his thugs turned the country into a theocracy.

I was providing communications for the Shah's Australian visit and spent several hours with the minister. He was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable.

The first time I met Elon Musk was informally at Santana Row. He pulled up and parked right next to me. Came out and said "Hey, nice car". (Model S at that time) Had some nice small talk as we were heading to the same restaurant. By the looks of him I wouldn't be surprise if he hadn't slept for the past 2 days. My aspiration was off the charts for the entire week after that before coming back to normal again.

I met plenty of people with less recognizable names unless you're the type of person that's curious about the things around you. Larry Page, Sergey Bin, Linus Torvald, Bjarne Stroustrup, Sandy Lerner, Eric Schmidt, Jeff Weiner, Frank Blake, Carol Tome,Evan Williams, Mark Zuckerburg .etc.etc

Mostly famous nerds =).

My brother and I met a couple of players from the Detroit Red Wings hockey team when we were younger. Other than that, I don't remember meeting anybody else famous.
