I've begun watching the original Star Trek which leads to a very serious question. Captain James T. Kirk or Captian Jean-Luc Picard?

I'm a big fan of the original Star Trek but I'm a bigger fan of Next Generation, so I'll have to go with Picard.

Not too much high tech TV wizardry back then. Watch closely, they used a lot of styrofoam cups for props and did you know that they used the same transporter in TNG as they used in the original? They just turned it upside down.

I have numerous books about the original and one of them covered the interesting use of common items used on the sets. It's packed away somewhere, I've had it for over 20 years.
