Did any of you ever watch the British comedy show : Benny Hill ? He was on right after Monty Python's Flying Circus.

The terribly politically incorrect Benny Hill was an institution for years. We all (well, the male members of society, anyway) watched wide-eyed, "Hills Angels".

I suspect that that would not be considered acceptable today, despite much more liberal views on TV programming now.

What is not generally realized, or known outside the UK, is that another great comedian, Frankie Howerd, died the day after Benny Hill.

A bizarre outcome of this was that Benny Hill's agent, unaware that his client had died, posted a tribute to the news media on his behalf.

One dead man saluting another!

At the age of about 19, I was lucky enough to attend a Kodak photography day (Kodak ran these as a sales exercise two or three times a year, for professionals (or trainees like me)). Dilys Watling was there, looking pretty in a bikini and signing autographs.

Yes, I had to sneak it in, since it had some "Mature Content" for its time.

Had some funny sketch comedy commercials too :

The Benny Hill show was hilarious! My husband's best friend would give me the famous Benny Hill smile with a salute in the middle of history class. It got to the point where I'd have to ignore him to get anything done! It was so campy and naughty! Laughing just remembering it!
