Should We Lower The Rated R Movie Age Requirements To 16?

Yes. A kid can drive at age 16 and can donate blood at age 16. Sixteen year-olds are juniors in high school for crying out loud this is ridiculous. A sixteen year old, in most states, will go to jail for the rest of his or her life if found guilty of certain crimes. This "17 and up" policy needs to stop. How the hell can they say it is okay to let a 7 year old in a movie with a parent and not a 16 year old in alone?

Like the guy above I agree also we pay to see movies in movie theaters as adults at like twelve anyways we get treated like adults around our teens

I believe that they should leave the ratings as they are...I mean why change them. Kids always find a way to get into R rated films anyways.

Absolutely not! Teens don't need to have some of the stuff theyput in movies in their mind. Some R-rated movies can be really explicit and not at all acceptable for children. We need to keep our minds clean of those things!!
