Walt Disney's very first full length animated film was an adaptation of the popular fairy tale, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It was released in the year 1937, however it does not get the credit for being the first animated full length film; that distinction goes to El Apostol, a film made in Argentina in the year 1917, with seven other animated movies following it before the release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. However, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs does get the credit for being the very first animated film to gain such a widespread audience and also for being the first animated movie to be done in Technicolor.
The plot of the movie is the same as that of the fairy tale, complete with all the seven dwarfs, the wicked queen, the talking mirror etc.
