The last residence of John Lennon is famous as also being the site at which he was killed, called The Dakota, situated in New York City. It was built from the year 1880 to the year 1884, taking around four years to make. It was conceptualized by architect Henry Jane way Harden Bergh, who was also the man behind the designing of the Plaza Hotel.
The Dakota has appeared in many novels and movies thereafter, and is still visited by Lennon fans from across the world.
The structure looks like something out of a North German Renaissance period, also betraying a French feel in its design. It is said to have been named so due to the fact that when it was built, the Upper West Side of Manhattan was sparingly resided and regarded to be as isolated as the Dakota Territory
