Well advantage is that you may relax yourself by music when you are in tension or in a bad mode, moreover you can enjoy it when you are in a good mode. And the disadvantage is only that when you are enjoying some other person may be disturbed because of it.

If the music is good and you enjoy listening to it then theres nothing wrong in that, but there is also a lot of sexually suggestive music that people are exposed to at a young age, and it may seem harmless but it probally does have a negitive affect on younger people as they look up to these people as role models

Well some music have such lyrics that when you back track them then they can be brainwashing. They have very violent lyrics and

Music distracts people who is next to you if it is too loud. And it alos damage the hear drums.

Loads .music that cause advantage causes mental peace, calmness refering to classical music , the bad music causes violance , the one with heavy metals rough sounds

Music can keep a person going and keep them from being bored as it gives them relaxation and also passes the time.

But music can hurt your eardrums if it is set up to loud, it can also distract you from driving, running, studying, etc.
