World famous actress, Nicole Kidman, was born June 20, 1967. Although it is well known that she is one of Australia's greatest imports, to the film industry, she was not born down under. The statuesque actress was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA to proud parents Anthony and Janelle Kidman. At the age of three Nicole Kidman, along with her parents and younger sister, Antonia, moved to Australia, home to native Australians Anthony and Janelle Kidman. Nicole Kidman started acting at a young age and at the age of just fourteen, Kidman starred in her first movie. The 1983 "Bush Christmas" was an Australian made for TV movie. With the acting bug coarsing through her veins, Kidman dropped out of highschool at the age of sixteen. Kidman landed herself an American agent and soon found more opportunities coming her way. In 1989, at the age of nineteen she starred in the psychological thriller "Dead Calm" which brought notice from across the ocean. That same year, noticed by Tom Cruise, she was picked to star in her first American feature film "Days of Thunder". Nicole Kidman keeps climbing the ladder of success and is, today, one of Hollywood's greatest actors.
