The Box Tops sang Neon Rainbow. They were a group from Memphis led by singer Alex Chilton who had a great soulful voice. They had a few hits with their biggest being The Letter, they also sang Cry Like A Baby and Soul Deep among others. Alex also sang with a group called Big Star
