Patrick Henry was an important personality in the American Revolution, best known for his speeches. One of his speeches "Give me Liberty or give me Death", which is gave at the House of Burgesses in 1775, became the motto of the American Revolution. Such was the influence of his speech that the whole crowd jumped up and started shouting To Arms, To Arms.
Patrick Henry, as I recall, was a radicalist. He loved to stir the masses and be the center of attention. He was quite the good speaker, and loved to inspire a following. Patrick Henry was able to inspire the unanswerable, simply because of his passion. He was able to enrage the masses and get them involved in the revolt against brittan. He spoke to the common man, but had the intelligence of an aristocrat. He was able to inspire and lead, and that is why he played such a pivotal role in shaping American history.
Because he talked about important things such as liberty and freedom
Because he tried to make a difference to the world
