There are a number of things you could do to pass the time whilst you're waiting for a video to upload, suggestions will widely vary on how long your computer takes to load videos
This can vary from a few seconds to a few minutes so I'll try and categorize my ideas accordingly:

YouTube videos taking less than a minute to load
If you've only got a minute or less to fill up before your video starts playing, then the chances are anything you're going to do will also be based on your computer.
Checking your social network accounts for updates is one idea, I often have a glance at my Facebook news-feed as a force of habit any time I'm waiting for something to load.

Bear in mind that anything you use your computer to do will potentially slow your video's loading progress so you might not want to do anything that uses up to much of your computer's memory. Unfortunately this means that loading up a game is usually out of the question, unless its a quick game of minesweeper or solitaire.
I tend to pull out my phone and play a game like Angry Birds or Words with Friends any time I'm waiting for something, for example at the checkout in a supermarket or in a doctor's waiting room.
YouTube Videos that take more than a minute to load
If your video is taking a couple of minutes to load that's great news! Although you may be annoyed about the slow progress of a video you are anxious to watch, this also means that you'll be able to take a few moments away from your computer to do something else. This can include making a cup of tea or a quick sandwich, through to calling up a friend to check up on how their day is going.
