Beatle Ringo Starr, born Richard Starkey, first married Maureen Cox when she found out she was pregnant with their first child. Zak Starkey was born to his happy and proud parents on September 13, 1965. Zak later played with the Beatles at live dates in 2005 and got him in as drummer on their album "Don't Believe."
Being an only child, Ringo always wanted to make sure his child had brothers and sisters, Zak was soon had brother Jason Starkey born on August 19, 1967 and later sister Lee Parkin Starkey on November 11, 1970. Lee was a fashion designer.
Although everyone who knew them thought he and Maureen had a great marriage they divorced in 1975.
She died later from cancer with Ringo and their children at her bedside.
Six years later while filming the movie Caveman, Ringo met and married the actress Barbara Bach. The other Beatles at that time stood up for them at the wedding. They never had any additional children.
