Who Composed The Song I Am. I Am The Root Of David, The Bright And Morning Star?

I know and LOVE this song! I'm Pretty sure that's originally a Re'Generation song. My mother had their record and used to play them for my sister and I growing up. The album is 'Walk on the Water' from (I think?) around 1977... I found it on either Ebay or Amazon a few years back- Ebay has a copy presently!
There's also a tremendous song about The Three Trees... A m a z I n g!
