Does Anyone Know Any Good Australian Bands?

Over the years, Australia has produced a fair share of excellent bands. As space does not allow to go right back to the beginning of time, some of the great bands before the 1980s may be left out. Beginning with the 1980s, some of the most popular Australian bands, many of which are still going strong today, include:

Other bands included veteran baby boomer acts such as:

  During the 1990s, bands such as the following dominated the scene:

• Peril and The Cruel Sea

In addition, there were:

• The Baby Animals

Other bands ot make their mark were;

The alternative rock scene sprouted bands such as

Roots music continued to have a particularly strong appeal thanks to bands like

• Raja Jam

Australia has a long history of producing exceptionally good bands and artists. One can only hope that they will continue to keep up the good work and provide such a wide range of talented musicians a they have done over the last few decades.

Personally I think Kisschasy is really good!

The Living End, I went to see them a few years ago, supporting Less Than Jake!
Very good energy and sound if you like pop-punk!!!
The bass player is awesome!!!!

If you like Industrial music then I'd recommend Angelspit. If you like metal then Parkway Drive are really good too.
