Because when girls are going through puberty, a feminine, innocent looking celebrity who they will never actually have the chance to meet in person provides an outlet through which they can express their sexuality. They are simply celebrating their transition into womanhood with other peers going through the same experience. It is the same reason why the Jonas Brothers are popular, and why girls fanatically screamed at the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. Just like an earlier generation that swooned over David Cassidy, these young girls who are obsessed with Justin Bieber will grow out of it and will someday laugh at themselves for being so crazed over this talentless clown.
Truthfully, I think Justin Bieber sounds like a nine-year-old girl on helium. Plus, have you heard the lyrics of his songs? I only know them because of every demented child I pass by always sings them, but listen:

I've heard rumors that they're making a movie about him. 'Why?' come to mind. It would make sense with Micheal Jackson. He's made many hits and has built an extensive fan-base over the DECADES, but Justin has only been around for what, a year now(?), and people won't shut up about him. Why do people love him so much? Because they're sheep, that's why.
I HATE justin bieber with a PASSION! His songs are sooo stupid! He's like 11 years old & is singin about marrying some chick! Ugh! He sounds like a girl too. He is totally NOT hot either. Geeze.
I don't know why people like his personality so much if more than half of his fans have never met him. His songs are alright, but they're getting boring now since they're kind of pointless and ALWAYS about girls. I'm a girl myself, so constantly hearing songs about us by someone who's never even experienced love gets slightly tedious.I'm not going to lie, he is extremely talented! But there are so many people just as talented as he is, if you ask me, I reckon he just got lucky! I guess his fans have a reason to love him because they're just generally supportive of something they're deeply passionate about. It's like that will all the new celebrities of our generation.
People have there different opinions about different celebs like we do with music and friends. So its just up to your own opinion whether you like him or not.
Because he has a great voice and it's not girl type of voice. He inspired some friends I know to follow their dreams and they are singing in competitions. They hope to meet stars and become famous like him.

I think he is nice looking and has an amazing voice, and has a heart-touching personalityi do like him, I'm not an obsessed fan at all I just listen to his songs maybe 2 times a weekhe does deserve all he's getting and I'm very happy for him but I think many people are too obsessed with him
