Maybe those episodes were lost? You may want to email "TV Land" and ask why these episodes aren't ever shown on tv. I remember those also and they were great!

I have found quite a few of the old episodes by going to " Youtube" enter in the search engine there something like 1 Gun smoke The Widow's Mite . On the side bar many other episodes may appear and if you allow the window which you are currently viewing all of the remaining segments may show up for you to see each segment to complete any given episode in its entirety. Those earlier episodes have some very outstanding moral content as well as the later episodes.
I went to YouTube and put in Gunsmoke. Quite a few clips came up. I didn't look at everything, but there was one that had a very brief appearance by Dennis Weaver.
