CSI has been a very popular show. The original, Miami and New York series' have all been received with great acclaim in the UK.

The reason for its popularity is different for every indiviual. There is clearly a lot of money put into producing such a show - more than is available in the UK - and it really shows! The production values are excellent.

There is a no-nonsense style to the writing of the script. We aren't given any more information than we need to understand the story. This brings a good pace and a flow of information which comes fast enough to keep us entertained, but not too fast that we become lost.

The concept of CSI is also intruiging. Many of us didn't know the incredible advancements in technology, or the effort that goes into such criminal investigations. The flashbacks are something which are truly uniwue to this programme - although some people do have trouble watching.

One of the big pulls is that we all want to try and work it out before it is solved. A reason why this genre has always survived.
