What Are Disadvantages Of Watching TV Reality Show?

• 'Realism'

TV reality shows are not always 100% reality. Scenes are often created for entertainment purposes and although the viewer thinks he/she is watching reality, it can be more like a TV drama or a soap opera. Viewers can have misconceptions about the real world, believing that first dates, marriages, relationship break-ups and job interviews will be similar to what was portrayed on TV. These scenes will often be scripted, then recorded again and again until the scene is perfect and they do not represent real life.

• Inadequacy

Reality TV shows often portray people who are rich and famous. This can  negatively impact on viewers who compare their own, often more mundane lives to those of wealthy and successful people.

• Lack of educational content

Reality shows seldom offer any educational content. They often have entertainment value but with little to learn from the characters or storyline. Reality TV shows are often forgotten within weeks of being aired; unlike classic films, comedy shows and documentaries which can be remembered for years to come.

• Advantages

Reality TV shows do often reveal a side to our culture and society that may otherwise go unnoticed. Shows like Big Brother had a huge impact on western culture due to it's influence on TV broadcasting. Reality shows also help us relax and unwind as we watch people similar to ourselves in situations we can relate to.

Reality Shows influence stupidity and force teens to grow up too fast

I would say that most reality shows are planned and they are not real. They just creating a people to watch the shows. Now-a-days all these reality shows are made just to increase the popularity of the channel and to increase the trp.

I think the main disadvantages of watching reality tv shows they openly abuse each other that effects on the kids and youngster.

Emotional drawback and bad influence on audience

I think here is not major disadvantage of it. I think it only effect the kids. Because mostly contestant abuse each other so it effect the kids.

The disadvantages is there is always drama and fights.

Technology and television in particular may affect the individual's addiction, and has several disadvantages, including:

Parents too busy for their children;  watching television for more than one hour a day they neglect their children physically and emotionally.

Increasing separation between family members

Learn immoral things, especially if the parents do not pay attention to the quality of the programs watched by their children; the quality of the software is no longer as it was in the past. Lots of things that may cause juvenile delinquency.

Takes individuals away from religion

The impact on culture , especial poor quality programmes

Weakening of memory by filling minds with useless  information.

It sows terror in the hearts of viewers, especially children, if they watch the news, murder and destruction.
