Mozart was a child prodigy. When he was three years old he would watch his sister play the clavier, a keyboard. When he was four, his father, Leopold, who was also a composer and conductor, began lessons with him. He would play what he was taught perfectly and by the time he was five was composing his own music. When he was nine he began composing full symphonies. His father was his only teacher in his early years. I could find no evidence that Mozart ever received any formal schooling in music.
